Install Metasploit in Ubuntu: 
curl <a href="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rapid7/metasploit-omnibus/master/config/templates/metasploit-framework-wrappers/msfupdate.erb" class="autolinkedURL autolinkedURL-url" target="_blank">raw.githubusercontent.com/rapid7/metasploit..</a> &gt; msfinstall &amp;&amp; \ chmod 755 msfinstall &amp;&amp; \ ./msfinstall 
Now, u can use apt-get update to update metasploit
